Coming Soon

The second instalment in this limited-edition collection of remarkable aged single malts is on its way.

The Wall Collection

The Wall Collection is a celebration of our beloved distillery home and its iconic beacon to visitors approaching Islay: the big white wall with our name emblazoned on it. It’s the side of our Warehouse 1 building, which has earned its own tribute through an exclusive section of our website, only for Friends of Laphroaig, where you can purchase rare and unique releases. Fittingly, our first release will be this new expression in The Wall collection.

Standing proudly in our tranquil, sometimes storm-lashed bay for more than 30 years on foundations that go back to the 1800s, this wall is a crucial part of our DNA here at Laphroaig. Now, with this remarkable and rare series, it can be part of your collection.

A hand painted memorable classic

The first instalment of the series was titled Peat. It was a 36-Year-Old single malt, aged perfectly to produce a memorable classic. We remain very proud of this bottling, which gives the lifeblood of Laphroaig’s character its due, all wrapped up in a bottle that was hand-painted by the award-winning artist and ceramicist Laura Carlin.

Highly Limited Edition

Having spent time at our distillery, we can confidently say Carlin just gets it. On her visit and through her artworks, she’s really soaked up the spirit of the place and found a way of distilling our history into artistic form.

Last time, Carlin’s hand-painted bottles paid tribute to Islay peat, depicting blocks of it in zig-zag formations. Each one was different, and there were a mere 200 bottles made in total, making this spirit a rare gem indeed.

A testament to a maritime journey

Equally inspired by the passion and perseverance of Laphroaig’s people – all the way from 1815 to today – this new bottling will also be a rare beast, just like its predecessor. And that’s not all it’ll have in common. Just like Peat, this new bottle will be hand-painted by Carlin, who’s created something very special indeed.

There’s a different theme this time around: one that speaks to the journey of how certain casks reach us when we want to explore additional flavour dimensions. It’s a testament to a maritime journey that’s not always been for the faint of heart, and resonates with a nautical element of our distillery’s long and storied legacy. That’s all we can say for now, but we’re confident you’ll be just as impressed with Carlin’s artistic interpretation of this theme as we are.

Secure your bottle of this unique piece of our history through Warehouse 1, exclusively for Friends of Laphroaig.
