Càirdeas 2025 Lore Cask Strength
Càirdeas 2025: Lore Cask Strength is a fresh take on a fan favourite. Cask Lore is created by marrying five impeccable casks, each bringing its own unique tale to the fore. This special edition offers a resplendent array of flavours – from peat and salty sea spray through to lemon zest, caramel and delicate spices.

Colour
Antique gold.
Nose
Sweet, herbal, and strongly peaty with fruity aromas -apricot, peaches in syrup, lemon cream. Hints of coconut, vanilla fudge, fresh grass, basil, tobacco, and white pepper.
Palate
Intense peat and salty sea spray up front, followed by peppery spice. Flavours of lemon zest, salted lime, and caramel with herbal notes of mint and tea, plus spices like cumin, clove, and ginger.
Finish
Long and lingering with citrus sweetness and a clove like aftertaste.
Càirdeas 2024 Cask Favourites
Càirdeas 2024 Cask Favourites was a tough act to follow. By combining the unique flavours of the storied casks used for 2019’s Triple Wood and 2021’s PX Cask, we created an expression that became a legendary bottling in its own right. A delicate balance of notes from smoked orange toffee to smouldering campfire, it remains a worthy tribute to more than 30 years of Friends of Laphroaig.

Colour
Dark, rich copper.
Nose
Sweet and nutty with Brazil nut toffee brittle, vanilla custard, baking spices, milk-chocolate raisins, and a hint of spiced orange.
Palate
Rich, sweet, and oily with smoked orange toffee, stewed peaches, and campfire smoke, balanced by dried fruit, coffee grounds, and liquorice root.
Finish
Long, slightly sweet and dry with a peppery, peat-smoked character.

The Friends of Fèis Ìle Set is a Laphroaig whisky set created for members of the Friends of Laphroaig community. It includes two special Càirdeas releases: Càirdeas 2025 Lore Cask Strength and Càirdeas 2024 Cask Favourites, both celebrating the bold character of Islay peat and the creativity of the Càirdeas series.

What is Càirdeas whisky?
Càirdeas (pronounced car-chus) means friendship in Gaelic. The Càirdeas series is an annual limited-edition release created especially for the Friends of Laphroaig community and launched during the Fèis Ìle festival on Islay.

Fèis Ìle is the annual Islay Festival of Music and Malt, celebrating the island’s whisky distilleries and culture. Laphroaig traditionally releases special Càirdeas bottlings each year to mark the festival.
