Our Elements series is where our distillery team gets creative – and indulges their curiosity. Each member of our team is an expert of their craft, attuned to the way a single, isolated tweak to our production process can deepen and evolve the richly characterful flavour profile of our whiskies. But no matter how much you know, there’s only one way to find out.
Elements 3.0 is a limited-run release, and a remarkable tribute to the passion they bring to these experiments. In this case, we worked with a fire that burned in our kiln for longer and at higher temperatures than usual, distilling this whisky from the malt resting on the floor above. With its intense peaty characters, roasted cocoa beans and bitter dark chocolate, we’ll think you’ll agree the result is a fitting addition to an innovative and exciting series of Laphroaig whiskies.
