Virtual Fèis Ìle 2021

On Tuesday the 1st of June 2021 we hosted our second virtual Laphroaig Virtual Fèis Ìle Open Day. Whilst we wish we could have openend our distillery doors and welcomed everybody back to Islay with a dram and a smile, Laphroaig Day 2021 was celebrated digitally.

You can rewatch all our events by clicking here.

We hope you enjoyed the second edition of our virtual event as much as we did!

Virtual Fèis Ìle 2020

On Tuesday the 26th of May 2020 we hosted our first ever virtual Laphroaig Virtual Fèis Ìle Open Day and people from more than 80 countries joined us. Whilst nothing can compare to sharing a dram in person at the ‘Beautiful Hollow By The Broad Bay’, the virtual tasting was great fun and brought us together at a time when it was possibly needed more than ever.

We hope you enjoyed the virtual event as much as we did!

Ode to Select

by Ellen Eskenazi

Kentucky summers at the lake,

Our Scottish cuzin the crossing makes-

In barrels loved with bourbon and sherry

Our kissin’ cousins intermarry

Oak trees sway and sigh in longing

To Laphroaig they dream of belonging

Poem

by Peter Denis

In a life well lived, we learn by turns

That what matters most is love , whisky and Burns

In the former two we find that few are worthy of the deference we hold for love.

Yet despite that lack we answer back

That whisky is the balm that eases Burns

Q&A sessions

As time flies when you are together with friends from all around the world – even if only virtually – we haven‘t managed to answer all your questions during the live event.

Therefore John Campbell, Laphroaig Distillery Manager and Simon Brooking, US Master Ambassador have taken the time to answer many more of your questions and recorded the sessions for you.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in person again soon but until then tune in and enjoy some fun chat with Emma, John and Simon.
