The Whisky Festival
For ten days at the end of May, whisky and Islay fans gather to celebrate our homeland. Her culture, her spirit, her whisky.
Each distillery also launches a new bottling during Fèis Ìle. So if you’re at the festival, you have the added joy of getting your hands on one ahead of the rest of the world. Which is never a bad thing. At the Laphroaig Distillery, we always look forward to launching our special annual release of Càirdeas.

As visitors passed through our entrance walkway, they were greeted by the sturdy white walls of our distillery reflecting glorious sunshine and bright blue skies, as the earthy aroma of peat mixed with the salty freshness of the Atlantic and a whole array of different kinds of whisky barrels, all key building blocks of our spirit. As if the day wasn't memorable enough already, two elusive sights made an appearance on Islay: the sun, and the legendary Barely Man.
