Yes. Our 30 Year Old Scotch is the inaugural expression in our annual small batch series, making it a rare and aged expression of Laphroaig rather than an everyday bottling. Matured for three decades, it is crafted for special moments, with each annual batch offering its own chance to experience Laphroaig shaped by time, patience, and our distillery’s traditions.
Our 30 Year Old Whisky spends its time in both American oak barrels and European ex-sherry hogsheads and butts. This long maturation brings added depth and complexity, layering notes of citrus zest, vanilla custard, treacle toffee, bergamot, sweet pastries, fresh thyme, and white pepper before finishing with the smouldering peat smoke Laphroaig is known for.
The 10 Year Old Scotch shows our peat smoke in its most classic form: bold, medicinal, maritime, and immediately recognisable. In the 30 Year Old Scotch, the peat is still unmistakably Laphroaig, but three decades of maturation give it a more rounded, deeply integrated character. Rather than leading from the first sip, the smoke builds through the whisky and lingers on the finish with smouldering peat and sooty campfire notes.
