Fèis Ìle – the Islay Whisky Festival – is a pretty big deal here on the island. For ten days, whisky and Islay fans gather to celebrate our home, its culture, spirit and whisky.
The festivities include all the things we love here at Laphroaig, like music, dancing, and singing to start. Making new friends and reuniting with old ones. For sport lovers, there is bowling, fly fishing and golf. There is even the chance to have a dram or two of whisky along the way…

Have you got your wellies ready? Tuesday, 28th May is Laphroaig Day at Fèis Ìle this year. We’re excited to welcome all our Friends to our home. All day, visitors will be able to explore all things Laphroaig and get involved with masterclasses, tastings, and more.

On Sunday 26th May 7pm…
A special evening tasting to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Friends of Laphroaig.
Enjoy the 2024 Càirdeas release at the Friends of Laphroaig cairn, just a short stroll from the distillery itself. Whilst enjoying the location and tasting the new release, join in on the discussion and the stories of Friendship. Then head back to the distillery where a further tasting will take place, sharing previous Càirdeas releases, where the guests can share notes and compare any favourites on the list.
Ian Hunter
This tasting is an opportunity to explore all five chapters of the Ian Hunter series. The tasting will explore each chapter and the story behind its release and, of course, stories of Ian Hunter himself, who these icon drams pay tribute to.
Innis & Gunn x Laphroaig Tasting
This experience offers a deep dive into the collaboration between Laphroaig and Scottish beer pioneers Innis & Gunn. We look at the latest Islay Whisky Cask Ale and the Laphroaig cask finish that helped to create this unique beer.
Malt Floor Tastings
Experience a tasting on our legendary malt floors, sampling Laphroaig expressions that tell the stories of our floor maltings. Stop by the fires before visiting the viewing platform for an iconic Laphroaig picture opportunity.
Oldest & Rarest - 30 Years of Friendship
This tasting invites our guests to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of Friends of Laphroaig. The tasting will explore Càirdeas releases over the years and the stories behind these special liquids.

Entry on the day is completely free, so join us at our distillery for live music, local food, games, and much more. While you’re here, you’ll also have the chance to get your hands on our highly anticipated 2024 Càirdeas expression.
This year also marks the last Laphroaig Day for our distillery manager, Barry MacAffer, so this will be your last chance to raise a dram with him and wish him well before he embarks on his next adventure.
