Fèis Ìle

So what happens at the Fèis Ìle Festival? Well, a bit of everything the Ilich love - music, dancing, singing. Making new Friends and reuniting with old ones. There are sporting events too including bowling, fly fishing and golf. We’ve even been known to have a dram or two of whisky along the way, believe it or not.

Each distillery has an open day, welcoming festival goers in through the gates to enjoy their own shows and other entertainment. And in the spirit of true Islay hospitality, we fling open our distillery doors to let you in on all things Laphroaig®.

You get to walk where our whisky comes to life and drain drams straight from the barrel in our most sacred warehouses. You’ll even bump into Distillery Manager Barry and other Friends working here. Do say hello, they always love meeting the people who enjoy our work the most.

Each distillery also launches a new bottling during Fèis Ìle. So if you’re at the festival, you have the added joy of getting your hands on one ahead of the rest of the world. Which is never a bad thing. At the Laphroaig® distillery, we always look forward to launching our special annual release of Càirdeas. 

What more could you want from a festival? 

We love and appreciate Islay all year round. But nothing beats those ten days when we can officially celebrate her – and the whisky she produces – with our Friends.
